October 6, 2005 Meeting Minutes

Black Butte Elementary, Shingletown

Members in attendance:

Present: Glen Aldridge, George & Mary Eichelberger, Ray & Alice Gomez, Maxine Holder, Bea Nevins, Carl Weidert, Stan Weidert, Beth Livezey;

Agencies: Shiloe Braxton- WSRCD Project Coordinator, Tricia Parker- USFWS

Shiloe Braxton called the meeting to order at 6:30PM

Review of Last Months meeting:

6:30     Welcome and Introductions

6:35     Watershed coordinator report was given to the BCWG.

6:40     Tricia Parker from the USFWS informed the BCWG members of the Bear Creek spawning gravel (redd survey)

6:45     Bear Creek Watershed Assessment coordinator Shiloe Braxton introduced the Public Draft of the Bear Creek Watershed Assessment. Copies of the assessment were not available for the meeting, but a multimedia presentation was made.

7:45     Aerial Photography of the Bear Creek watershed was shown to the BCWG. Included in the presentation was an explanation of how members can view the aerial photos at home on personal computers.

7:50     Due to the length in the assessment presentation remaining agenda items were postponed.

7:55     Stan Weidert presented a draft mission statement to be included in the meeting minutes for later discussion

8:00     Adjourn
